Gloucester History Festival 2018

1 - 16 September 2018

Gloucester is well renowned for it's rich history, heritage and culture. Each year in September, the city comes together for a two-week long festival which celebrates not only local but international history. This encompasses a wide programme of talks, workshops, performances and tours of historic buildings which are often closed to the general public. Some of these events are even free of charge, and the aim of the festival is to engage all members of the local community, as well as visitors, in the fascinating subject of history. These events take place in a variety of locations across Gloucester, and really allow the visitor or even local to get to know the city on a more personal level.

A fully-detailed programme of events is expected to become avaliable in summer 2018.
