Networking and support for Gloucestershire businesses wanting to be greener: Gloucestershire Green Circle meeting: 'Carbon: moving towards neutrality'

Gloucester

Wednesday 23rd October 2019

9am-11.30am
Venue: The Business School, Oxstalls Campus, University of Gloucestershire

Does your company want to become greener but isn't sure where to start?

Is your company already using more sustainable business practices?

Or do you provide greener products and services?

If you've answered yes to any of these questions, you'll boost your business by attending the monthly meetings of Gloucestershire Green Circle, a new monthly networking and support group helping companies in the county embrace the green agenda.

Each month, the meetings take a deep dive into a particular sustainability topic with an expert speaker to outline the latest thinking, a workshop to help you apply this issue to your business, and networking time to share ideas, find solutions and make new connections.

The meeting on Wednesday 23rd October 2019 takes a look at the Carbon issue. Reducing carbon dioxide emissions is central to tackling the climate emergency that central Government, local authorities and numerous companies have declared. But how does a business measure the carbon it produces? What is carbon offsetting - is it just paying for more trees to be planted or something more complicated? These and other issues around the carbon footprint will be examined during October's meeting of Gloucestershire Green Circle.
