Last call for fully funded training for businesses in Gloucestershire
Gloucestershire businesses have only 3 weeks left to take advantage of fully-funded Leadership and Management Training, as funding from the European Social Fund and Educations & Skills Funding Agency is due to cease.
The funding, earmarked for Gloucestershire business by the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), has meant that businesses in the region have been able to benefit from free, accredited ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) courses for the past 2 years. However, funding is due to finish at the end in February, meaning there is now limited time for local businesses to make the most of the opportunity.
Funding for Leadership and Team Skills courses had been made available in order to upskill employees in Gloucestershire, as the county (along with Worcestershire) has been identified as a growth economic area.
HR Champions, based in the centre of Gloucester, is the main organisation delivering the training. Managing Director Cathy O’Donoghue said: “Over the past two years, we’ve delivered training to over 400 people in Gloucestershire alone. It’s been fantastic to have the opportunity to aid in the growth of the region, as well as to see individuals learn new skills. With funding ending soon, courses in Gloucestershire are going to start costing businesses, so we urge anybody who wants free leadership qualifications to get in touch soon”
Courses that have been available as part of the funding have included Leadership, Team Skills, HR Skills, and Performance Management, ranging from the equivalent of GCSEs and A Levels to diplomas.
