Stonehouse housebuilder launches pop-up library for local children for World Book Day
Stonehouse
Children across Stonehouse and surrounding areas are invited to pick up a free book of their choice from Redrow South West’s popular development, The Alders at Great Oldbury, on De Leisle Bush Way, in honour of World Book Day.
The books are available to collect from the housebuilder’s new pop-up library, which has been installed in the development’s sales centre. The library includes brand-new editions of popular children’s tales, including books from the Elmer series, a collection of bedtime stories and many more, for local families in the area to enjoy.
To ensure the library remains well stocked for Stonehouse book lovers, Redrow is calling on the local community to donate their unwanted books to its pop-up library too.
Sian Smith, Sales Director for Redrow South West, said: "At Redrow, we are dedicated to positively impacting the local community, making Stonehouse an even better place to live. As part of this initiative, we're excited to launch our first-ever pop-up library.
“Reading is an important activity in aiding children’s learning, and we recognise that not every child has access to their own books. To inspire a passion for literature from a young age and ensure every child has a new book to read, we invite families to visit The Alders at Great Oldbury and pick up a free book.
“We encourage Stonehouse residents to come along to donate their unwanted books and discover new ones. We look forward to welcoming local bookworms to the development and sharing our love for reading."
The pop-up library features a limited number of books which are available on a first come, first served basis.
