Review: Rapunzel

The Bacon Theatre, Cheltenham

                     

On Saturday evening I had the great pleasure of attending the Bacon Theatre to watch the talented immersion theatre cast present their new show, Rapunzel. 

Much to the younger audience members' delight, the actors began the show by mixing with the crowd. The cast continued to engage the audience throughout using inventive ways to make the show even more memorable. The water pistols and giant beachball were a real hit and left my two daughters in fits of giggles. 

The staging, sound and visual effects brought this production into a league of its own and the energy from the actors was infectious. 

 

                           

There were strong singing performances from the Queen, Prince, Wicked Witch and Rapunzel, plus the other supporting actors. 

This is a real feel-good family show that is well worth a visit.
