Middletown Farm Shop is Open for the Last Time

Friday 25th, Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th April 2025 - 9am - 5pm

The time has come to close the shop and start to retire a bit at the farm.  We have been so blessed to have met so many lovely customers who have turned up and supported us, recommended us to friends and supported our little farm shop.  I send you my heartfelt thanks for keeping us going and for your wonderful company and friendship.

 

 

As you all know, Pomme our impressive and beloved sheepdog is very old now.  He is in great shape for an elderly dog and still enjoys his walks with his head and ears up and tail wagging.  Although slower these days, he still does a small amount of work like herding the geese to bed and helping to train his apprentice, young Bratchet.  When we opened at the end of March, Pomme was sleeping on his sofa instead of greeting his favourite customers.  Several customers arrived, very upset indeed and asked me whether they hadn't seen Pomme - had he died?  I quickly reassured them and Pomme soon came out to say Hello and put everybody's minds at ease.  It made me stop and think, for a moment, how lucky we are to know such lovely people who visit the farm and get involved in the running of the place and truly love our animals.  It is a great privilege to meet you and a joy to spend time with you and share our animals with you and I will miss you very much indeed.

 

We will have a selection of frozen pork from Freya and our own Jacob sheep lamb plus the wonderful selection of gifts and thigs made by our fabulous Producers.

New this month will be fresh bread made by Ella; Graham and I have already tasted Ella's bread and it is utterly delicious.   You are in for a lovely treat.

If there is something you wish you had bought after we close, don't worry, I will be happy to contact the Producer on your behalf.
