The Isbourne Goes Vegan
The Isbourne is exploring the wonderful world of veganism during the month of June and there’s plenty to get involved with! They’ve teamed up with cafes and restaurants around Cheltenham to produce a town map of where you can get a decent vegan meal (and cake, of course). You can pick up a free map from their foyer at 3 Wolseley Terrace or any of the participating eateries – look out for The Isbourne Goes Vegan window stickers and you’ll know you’ve found a vegan-friendly haven.
If you’re curious about veganism and would like to give it a go but aren’t quite sure whether you could hack it or how to get started then The Isbourne’s brand new course, A Beginner’s Guide To Going Vegan, is the one for you! Led by Andy Tibbs of local ethical plant-based food delivery and catering business Poco Culina it will equip you and enthuse you in equal measures. Courses start in May and September this year.
Whether you’re a seasoned vegan or have never eaten a vegetable in your life, on Monday 18th June The Isbourne staff are challenging you to pack up a vegan lunch and bring your picnic blanket to Imperial Gardens to join them on their Vegan Lunch Break In The Park. Some might say that having your vegan lunch delivered to the park by Poco Culina is cheating, but they’ll look the other way just this once…
Food and fashion blogger turned cookbook author Aine Carlin will be visiting The Isbourne on Monday 26th June to talk candidly about her journey into veganism, as well as sharing her top tips for vegan living. Poco Culina pop up again here providing tasty Eastern-inspired vegan food samples to round off the evening.
Plus, staff and practitioners from The Isbourne will be giving veganism a go in a vegan relay where they attempt to collectively clock up an entire month of being vegan between them, keeping a video diary of our efforts (which may prove to be even trickier than going vegan for a couple of days!). They’ll also be hanging out with vegan-friendly charity Dean Farm Trust at their open day on 9th June. You can follow The Isbourne’s vegan exploits across their social media channels.
