GLOSINFO’S HUB OF INFORMATION FOR THE COUNTY OFFICIALLY OPENED
Gloucestershire’s favourite information website www.glos.info, which has a new-look shop in Cheltenham, was officially opened on Thursday 9 March 2017 at a launch event attended by more than 50 key members of the business and local community.
www.glos.info is Gloucestershire’s key information portal for events and activities. Belinda Wilson, who runs www.glos.info, along with GlosJobs.co.uk, is delighted that the community now has a drop-in shop. Open for business since January 2017 and located on the edge of Tivoli at the Westall Green roundabout on Lansdown Road and Andover Road in Cheltenham, the www.glos.info shop acts as a knowledge hub for all things that are happening in the county.
The www.glos.info team welcomed local business leaders and members of the community on Thursday 9 March 2017 to their official launch. Guests included Cheltenham MP Alex Chalk; Geoff Burch, best-selling author and business guru; ex-Liberal Democrat MP Martin Horwood; Cheltenham Mayor Chris Ryder; and leaders of Cheltenham Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Small Business and GFirst LEP.
Geoff Burch cut the ribbon outside the shop front. He commented: ‘This is an essential resource for the small business enterprises of the county. From the Forest of Dean to Burford, www.glos.info provides information and services that really cannot be found anywhere else.’
Belinda, who has run www.glos.info for three years and GlosJobs.co.uk for sixteen years says: ‘In addition to our already successful website, the www.glos.info shop offers people the opportunity to come in and talk to us about advertising their events and businesses, as well as graphic design and video requirements. We love being part of this community, and we’re really encouraged by people’s reaction to the www.glos.info shop.
‘We are a local business that is keen to support other Gloucestershire businesses and events. Our aim is to list "Everything Gloucestershire".’
www.glos.info will also be holding an open day for the public on Friday 24th March.
