Wootton-under-Edge

Saturday 22 April, 3.30 – 5.30pm

‘Singing like a Bloke’

Join Chris Samuel, glorious leader of the Magnificent AK47, for a memorable afternoon of singing. All abilities very welcome, young and old, hairy blokes or ladies - all you need to bring is a smile.
Learn a selection of three-part a capella harmonies to impress your neighbours with the added bonus (numbers permitting) of joining The Magnificent AK47 on stage for a grand finale.
Beards optional.

Then…

The Magnificent AK47 will be going Over the Top at Under the Edge
Saturday 22 April, 8pm

Lowering the tone with their deep, Georgian-inspired harmonies and serious silliness, those Magnificent Men of Ashton Keynes and their multi-hatted singing machine love taking to the stage to prove they can truly live up to the claim of perhaps being the best all bloke singing troupe ever to escape from the depths of North, North Wiltshire.
They sing “right across, despite and beyond, the musical spectrum from serious Georgian choral pieces, through the odd Wagnerian operatic piece, to less intellectual stuff employing hats and related costumery.”

Tickets cost £9 (£7 concessions) for the workshop, and £10 (£8) for the gig, or £17 (£13) for the two events combined.  They are available online* from our website – www.utea.org.uk – from Fish Out Of Water gallery, Long Street, Wotton, or on the door.

*online payments 50p extra to cover Paypal fees

And if you want to find out more about our events, and how you can get involved, come along to our Volunteers Coffee Morning on Sunday 23 April, from 10am – 12 noon.  Drop in for coffee and pastries and meet Ali, our Volunteer Coordinator.  We need volunteers both at events and behind the scenes, whether you want to help out regularly or can just spare a few hours every so often.  It’s a great way to meet new people, and if you volunteer at an event you get to watch for free!
