The Festival is back with over 200 mouth-watering events for history-lovers of all ages. Gloucester Day kicks off the celebrations on 7 September, followed by ten days of compelling events from world-class speakers in the magical setting of Blackfriars Priory, Gloucester. 

 

 

Speakers include historians David Olusoga, Philippa Gregory and William Dalrymple, chef Tom Kerridge, Countdown’s Suzie Dent, Sherlock actor Matt Gatiss, comedian Stewart Lee, Horrible Histories guru Greg Jenner and the world’s greatest explorer Ranulph Fiennes.

New this year all 50 Blackfriars Talks are live-streamed so you can enjoy them at home for just £6 each or in person in Gloucester.
