INTRODUCTION TO MINDFULNESS MEDITATION

All courses will be stopping for an inter-semester break between Monday 12th February and Thursday 15th February 2018. All classes resume on the week commencing Monday 19th February. Hurrah!
Mindfulness can be an amazing tool to deepen our understanding of ourselves and find space within our daily lives. It can help us to reduce stress, manage pain, and access greater insight and joy. Join Catherine Forrester on this six-week introduction to mindfulness meditation – perfect for beginners.
Over six weeks, we will delve into the fundamental principles of mindfulness practice through discussion and guided meditation to explore foundational mindfulness practices: sitting meditation, walking meditation, and body scan.
We will also look at simple ways you can bring mindfulness into your daily life and support each other in establishing a regular practice at home, so that by the end of the course you are confident in your own independent practice.
Don't worry, you don't need to sit on the floor to meditate! Various sitting positions will be offered, and chairs are available.
