Walk and Mapping Workshop

Venue: WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre

Join Wiltshire artist Jo Beal and WWT Volunteer, Chris, for a guided spring walk through the Wetland Centre, to experience its natural sights and sounds.

 


Date: Saturday 26 April

Time: 10am - 4pm

The walk will be followed by a creative and friendly afternoon workshop with Jo, where you’ll make an artistic collage or drawn map, capturing your personal experience of the morning’s walk and the things you saw, heard, felt and learnt.

Make your own 8-page fold-out sketchbook to take notes with on the walk and Jo will supply all the materials you’ll need for the day.

Rough timings for the course:

10.00am – 10.20am: Intro and making sketchbooks

10.20am – 11.50am: Guided walk around the wetlands, stopping to make notes, draw and take photos.

12.00 noon – 12.45pm: Lunch

12.45pm – 4pm: Creative mapping workshop

Cost: £75 per person, including materials, admission to Slimbridge Wetland Centre and a £5 voucher to spend in the Kingfisher Kitchen or kiosks.
