Gloucester is set to be transformed into a giant game this summer as thousands of residents compete to see if their school, community group or workplace can walk, run, scoot or cycle the furthest. Beat the Street is a free, fun challenge where Gloucester residents will be rewarded with points and prizes for exploring the city. The game returns to Gloucester after a successful game in 2018 which saw more than 10,000 people take part. Beat the Street is designed to inspire people to make small changes, such as walking or cycling to school every day, to improve health and help re-set the way in which we embed physical activity into everyday life. You can join the fun, free game and play with all the family by picking up a Beat the Street card from your library, leisure or community centre.
