Everyman Theatre unveils exciting new season brochure featuring West End and Broadway hits

The Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham, has announced the launch of its new season brochure, revealing an exciting selection of productions that will bring the grandeur of West End and Broadway to the heart of Gloucestershire.

Musical fans will be pleased, with a sensational selection of productions on offer, beginning with Ghost The Musical (1st – 5th October), a breathtaking adaptation of the beloved Oscar-winning film, which will star Les Dennis. Audiences can also look forward to Here You Come Again (15th – 19th October), the new Dolly Parton musical, which celebrates the country superstar’s greatest hits and signature wit in a heartwarming jukebox musical, which comes to Cheltenham ahead of a West End transfer.

Additionally, Chicago (20th-25th January), the iconic Broadway hit, will dazzle audiences with its thrilling choreography and unforgettable songs. Gibert and Sullivan’s classic operetta The Pirates of Penzance (28th January – 1st February) will be presented with a full orchestra with a 2-for-1offer available on opening night tickets. Looking further ahead, theatre-goers can anticipate the arrival of The Rocky Horror Show (February 2025), Cruel Intentions: The ‘90s Musical (March 2025), and the return of SIX (March 2025). It has also been announced that Military Wives, the musical telling the extraordinary true story of the Military Wives Choir, will open in September 2025.

Christmas is also set to be a special season as The Elves and The Shoemaker and Sherlock Holmes and A Christmas Mystery take over the Everyman’s Irving Studio Theatre (November – January). The Everyman’s annual pantomime, Aladdin, starring local favourite Tweedy the Clown, promises festive fun for all ages on the Main Stage from 29th November – 12th January.

Families will find plenty to enjoy alongside the pantomime, including Coming to England (8th – 12th October), a stage adaptation of Floella Benjamin’s inspiring story of her journey from Trinidad to 1960’s London, along with the arrival of Peppa Pig: Fun Day Out (30th-31st October).

For fans of drama, the theatre presents Birdsong (22nd – 26th October), a poignant adaptation of Sebastian Faulks’ bestselling novel set during World War I. Thriller fans can look forward to Rebus: A Game Called Malice (5th – 9th November), a gripping adaptation of Ian Rankin’s detective novel, and The Girl on The Train (March 2025), a riveting version of Paula Hawkins’ bestselling story, which will star actor, novelist, and podcaster Giovanna Fletcher. While those who like their drama with a side of comedy can look forward to the much-anticipated production of The Shark Is Broken, (22nd – 26th April) offering a dramatic behind-the-scenes look at the making of the iconic film, Jaws.

Dance fans will be treated to performances by Strictly Come Dancing favourites Anton Du Beke (11th – 12th November) and Nikita Kuzmin (May 2025) as well as classics from Imperial Classic Ballet, including Swan Lake and The Nutcracker (14th – 16th November).

One of the most exciting announcements from the brochure is Twiggy The Musical (4th-13th September 2025), a vibrant new Everyman Theatre production that celebrates the life and career of the iconic 1960s supermodel, actress, and singer Twiggy. Written by the acclaimed author, stand-up and playwright Ben Elton, Twiggy The Musical will explore the star’s extraordinary rise to fame, against the soundtrack of some of the greatest pop-hits from the 60s and 70s. Twiggy The Musical will open in Cheltenham, before embarking on a national tour.
To celebrate the launch of the new season, the Everyman Theatre is offering a 2-for-1 deal on opening night tickets for Birdsong (22nd – 26th October), Pirates of Penzance (28th January – 1st February) and Summer 1954 (3rd – 8th February).
