The Spectacle of Light is now open at Sudeley Castle for its ninth year, with visitors mesmerised by the new after-dark experience in Gloucestershire. Highlights of the trail include the Tithe Barn, which has been transformed into an abandoned throne room and the Queen’s Garden, which now hosts Sleeping Beauty’s bedroom, with a large bed floating over the water feature in the centre of the garden.

Visitors are treated to the picturesque Banqueting Hall Ruins, where there is a display of illuminated umbrellas, which form the number 50, in celebration of Lady Ashcombe’s special anniversary year at the castle.

Throughout the grounds you can also meet the characters bringing the story to life. Don’t miss the beautiful Sleeping Beauty and charming Prince Philip, at the culmination of the immersive illuminations along Magnolia Walk, surrounded by twinkling lights, and Sudeley’s famous herd of elephants which have been dressed for the occasion! Be sure to look out for the Evil Witch and the Good Fairies in the stunning Animal Ark.

This year’s outdoor trail also includes the tasty addition of a festive food quarter with:
