Swindon Village Primary School represented Cheltenham Town Community Trust in the Premier League Pri

Cheltenham Town Community Trust was represented by pupils from Swindon Village Primary School at the Premier League Primary Stars Under-11 National Girls Football Tournament 2025 regional qualifiers hosted by Swindon Town FC, as they aimed to secure a place at the 2025 finals.

The regional qualifiers held at club and community facilities across the country, saw hundreds of young people representing Premier League, EFL and National League clubs compete. The teams that qualified had the opportunity to play at Molineux Stadium, wearing the kit of their respective professional football clubs.

The tournament is part of the Premier League Primary Stars programme which was launched in 2017 and is available to every primary school in England and Wales. The programme uses the appeal of football to encourage children to stay active and develop essential life skills.

Ryan Godwin, Cheltenham Town Community Trust's Primary Stars Coordinator, commented: “The Swindon Village Primary School team played exceptionally well and showed great determination throughout the tournament. They made it to the semi-finals, which is a fantastic achievement. The team should be incredibly proud of their performance."

Premier League Charitable Fund Chief Executive, Ruth Shaw OBE, said: “The Premier League Primary Stars Under-11 National Girls Football Tournament is an incredible opportunity for girls across the country to participate in exciting and fun football activities. The regional tournaments bring young people from diverse backgrounds together and give them a memorable chance to represent their professional football club. I hope everyone enjoys the day, and I look forward to seeing some of you later this year at the Finals."
