Photo tour of No. 131 The Promenade, Cheltenham

We were lucky enough to have been given a tour of No. 131, including a couple of the bedrooms as part of a Cheltenham Hospitality Association meeting. It is such a fabulous hotel that we took some photos to share with you.

No. 131 is a boutique hotel part of The Lucky Onion group Family owned by Supergroup's  fashion brand Superdry co-founder, Julian Dunkerton. This Georgian townhouse has 11 bedrooms as well as a restaurant, gin, cocktail and outside bars, courtyard and a terrace.

The restaurant at No. 131 is set out in over several rooms, overlooking the Cheltenham Ladies' College out the back on one side and the stunning Imperial Gardens on the other out the front.

Private dining is an option too with a choice of 4 private dining rooms. The Gem is one of them, flooded by natural sky light & an impressive chandelier

There is an internal courtyard with a retractable roof open during the warmer months which is a real suntrap in the summer & has heaters in the winter.

The kitchen at No. 131 must be really busy when the restaurant is full, and  we just had a sneaky peek. The menus are seasonal & all produce is sourced either locally or within the British Isles. Their suppliers are carefully chosen by supporting local farmers and artisan producers.

The 11 bedrooms are decked out stylishly and luxuriously. There are fabulous bathrooms, with robes and handy accessories to use, as well as personalised No. 131 stationery. Each room has a great view across the Promenade to Imperial Square or overlooks across toward Cheltenham Ladies' College.

The No. 131 building retains many of its original features, such as this staircase up to the rooms, with the lights hanging down the middle. There is also a spiral staircase down to Crazy Eights, the late night bar & one of Cheltenham’s hotspots where there are walls of cupboards stocked with wines at the right temperature and even a humidor cupboard cabinet stocked with cigars.

So you can pop along to No. 131 for a drink, meal or night and enjoy the fabulous atmosphere in a unique environment in one of the most prestigious addresses in Gloucestershire and the country.
