Gloucester Choral Society invites you and your family to start your Christmas preparations with A Christmas Chorale, featuring Bob Chilcott’s Christmas Oratorio and Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols.
We’re breaking from tradition this season to bring you Chilcott’s stunning Christmas Oratorio. This uplifting antidote to the onset of dark winter nights months is sure to lighten your spirits with all the musical warmth we’ve come to enjoy from the modern day composer.
Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols strikes a different but beautiful tone. A regular fixture in the Gloucester Cathedral calendar, we are delighted to be singing A Ceremony of Carols alongside a number of festive choral works, as part of our annual Advent concert.
