Tudor Day - Pipe and Tabor Workshop

Gloucester

Dates: 19/04/2025

Venue: The Folk of Gloucester, 99-103 Westgate Street

1-2pm

As part of our Tudor Day celebrations, why not learn how to play like a Tudor musician? The Pipe and Tabor are a pair of traditional Medieval instruments played together by one person, consisting of a wooden pipe played with one hand, and a small drum played with the other. Professional Medieval musicians Rob and Gillian (AKA “The Bygonez”) will show you how to master these instruments and play some traditional tunes in this hour-long workshop.

Tickets are £10 per person, which includes a free pipe and a folder of Medieval tunes to take home with you.
