Cherubini Requiem in C Minor and Beethoven Symphony No. 5

Minchinhampton

Dates: 05/04/2025

Venue: Holy Trinity Church

With the Thames Head Singers and the Capriol Chamber Orchestra.

Directed by Andrew Hopwood and Jonathan Trim.

Join us for this powerful and rarely performed requiem by Luigi Cherubini, hailed by Schuman as “without equal in the world” and chosen by Beethoven for his own funeral.

Beethoven's popular Symphony No.5 is a fitting accompaniment and a favourite of the orchestra.

The first public performance of Jonathan Trim’s composition ‘The Lake Isle of Innisfree’ (based on the poem by W.B.Yeats) will round off a wonderful evening of music by talented local artists.

Directed by Andrew Hopwood and Jonathan Trim
