1. Dates: 4th -13th October 2024 - The Times and Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival 2024
Cheltenham Literature Festival is the world’s longest-running literature Festival, leading the way in celebrating the written and spoken word, presenting the best new voices in fiction and poetry alongside literary greats and high-profile speakers. The Festival will be celebrating its 75th Anniversary 4-13 October 2024.
2. Dates: Saturday 5th October - The Arcane, Bizarre and Darn Right Witchy Talk
Delve into the weird and wonderful history of witchcraft and superstition, as you learn about familiars, mischief following anger, witch bottles and so much more! This talk will reveal some of Britain’s most famous witch cases as well as teaching how best to spot a witch!
3. Dates: Sunday 6th October - The Forest Showcase Food Festival
The Forest Showcase Food Festival is set in a stunning location in the grounds of The Speech House Hotel & surrounded by a woodland backdrop.
4. Dates: 11th, 12th, 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th October 2024 - The Wedding Singer - Cheltenham Playhouse
The Wedding Singer takes us back to when hair was big, collars were up and the wedding singer might just be the coolest guy in the room.
5. Dates: 12th October 2024 - Italian celebration cake with Giuseppe Dell'Anno
Learn the essential elements to build your own celebration cake in true Italian style.
6. Dates: Friday 18th - Saturday 19th October - Friends of Cheltenham Samaritans October Beer Festival
Each session will be limited to 225 people and at each session there will be at least 10 keg beers available in a range of different styles.
7. Dates: 19th - 27th October 2024 - 78th Stroud Arts Festival
Starting this year’s festival at Lansdown Hall we have the darkly gothic drama, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Stratford Productions, on Saturday 19th October, followed by silent horror movie The Phantom of the Opera with live music by harpist Elizabeth-Jane Baldry on the Sunday 20th. This first weekend at Lansdown Hall brings us classic storytelling to thrill us and chill us as the nights draw in.
8. Dates: 22nd 27th October 2024 - Murder on Canvas
'Don your deerstalkers and sharpen your pencil because, after sell-out performances last year, Ghostlight Productions are back with another immersive, interactive murder mystery!
9. Dates: 29th October 2024 - Howlers Oct 2024
