Half-Term & Holiday Ideas
With the frequent half-terms and holidays throughout the year, it can be hard to keep finding places to go. So make the most of your half-terms by visiting some of these amazing places and take part in some new activites!
1. Nature in Art & Museum, Twigworth Gloucestershire
Nature in Art is the world's first museum and art gallery dedicated to fine, decorative and applied art all inspited by nature. This unrivled collection is housed in a fine Georgian mansion just outside the famous cathedral city of Gloucestershire. The displays in the museum are constantly changing so you will have the opportunity to see something different every time you visit!
Not only this but the museum is constantly holding an array of different art-based activities across all half-terms!
2. Rush Skate Park in Stroud
Rush Skate Park in Stroud opened in December 2013, and is home to a huge amounts of ramps from small to big, this is a great place to take kids looking to take up a new hobby or just have fun! You can use skateboards, bikes and scooters (see full list online) so feel free to bring your own or hire out a scooter & helmet when you get there!
Not only this, but the venue also holds an array of different events such as meet and greets with famous YouTube stars who you can join in the skatepark!
3. Roots Coffee & Community
Another, perhaps, less well-known place in the area that holds a range of different activities is the Roots Coffee & Community. Roots is a great community centre that's supported by a range of different charities to help bring opportunities and fun acitvities to the area. For instance, the community centre & cafe runs many different workshops throughout the year in it's hall including Youth Theatre Sessions teaching performance skills for kids aged 4-15.
Not only does the centre hold great activities for kids, but they also have a great cafe if you ever need to stop and grab a bite to eat!

4. Cook with Josie, Cheltenham
Speaking of food - Josie's Bakery in Cheltenham offers great workshops for kids (and adults) to learn about baking and teaching the benefits of keeping a healthy diet. Josie shares her skills with pre-schoolers through to teenagers and adults baking healthy, delicious, budget friendly meals suitable for all the family alongside delicious cakes and puddings. So why not try your hand at baking this half term and bring the kids along with you?
5. Cotswold Farm Park
Established in 1971 and the home of rare breed conservation, Cotswold Farm Park offers a fun-silled day out for the entire family! Throughout the year Cotswold Farm Park holds many different events from Live Lambing around Easter time to the Maize Maze in summer!
If you fancy returning throughout the year for all of these great activities, you can buy memberships online so you cna attend at any point without the hassle of having to keep booking tickets!

6. Lesuire at Cheltenham
Lesuire at Cheltenham is a great place to check on throughout the year to see what events are currently being held. With a swimming pool, gymnasium, indoor sports, stadium, classes and young people section, the Lesuire Centre is a great opportinuity to get out and do something fun in your half-terms whilst keeping fit at the same time!
Clubs for kids include; Mini Gym, Family Swim Sessions, Splash Pool Party, Trampolining, Go-Kart Party, and SO many more!
So whatever the weather, you can be sure that Lesuire at Cheltenham will have something fun to keep the whole family preoccupied.
7. The Brewery, Cheltenham
The Brewery in Cheltenham is an absolute hub for different activities including shopping, eating, bowling, mini golf, cinema and much more. Not only will the Brewery keep you busy in terms of a great day or evening out, it also hosts a multitude of different events, such as a hosting one of the stages for the Cheltenham Jazz Festival in May which see's people dancing and having a great time.
