Peter Gill: The Jazz Age!

Cheltenham

Dates: 10/10/2024

Venue: Holst Victorian House

Cheltenham born pianist Peter Gill will explore in a 45 musical presentation some of the sounds of the jazz age of the 1920s and 1930 which would have been the soundscape for both Louise Dyer in Paris and Gustav Holst in England. Expect sample renditions of such iconic tunes as Ain't Misbehavin’, Don't Get Around Much Anymore, Sweet Georgia Brown, Mack the Knife and Georgia on my Mind. Songs which have survived the passage of time and are as fresh today as they were when first heard.

The admission price includes a welcoming drink (alcoholic or non) in the Victorian Kitchen.

All proceeds will go towards putting the finishing touches to our Victorian Hallway restoration.
