Cotswold Farm Parks gets ready to welcome 900 new animal arrivals this Spring

Cotswold Farm Park

Venue: Cotswold Farm Park

Experience the magic of new life at Adam Henson's Cotswold Farm Park as the Lambing and Kidding season commences.

The popular family attraction is now open for its 2024 season, in which visitors can witness adorable newborns taking their first steps on the famous farm. Last year’s event welcomed 800 new arrivals, the biggest of its kind in the UK, and 2024 promises to be equally as exciting over 900 lambs and goat kids expected this spring.

There will be a mix of commercial and rare breed ewes giving birth, including Kerry Hills, Herdwicks and the county breed, the Cotswolds. Experts from the farm will be on-hand to share their knowledge with daily lambing talks to help visitors learn all about the new arrivals. Later in the year, bottle feeding sessions and interactive demonstrations will ensure an immersive experience for all.

The Animal Barn is the place to head for an array of exciting animal encounters. With fascinating creatures such as Strawberry the social media sensation cow, to Ellen the Iron Age sow and her piglets to see up close, don’t forget to purchase a bag of animal feed to really attract their attention!

The Farm Park’s Discovery Barn offers visitors the chance to learn about a variety of small animals, including rabbits and guinea pigs. This educational space will encourage curiosity and sensory development in young minds.

The Adventure Barn provides a safe and exciting indoor play area where kids can explore, climb and play, with a large sand pit, traversing wall, soft play area and ride-on tractors while adults take a well-deserved moment to themselves with a hot drink from The Shed Cafe. Outdoor activities such as bouncy pillows, swings, sandpits, pedal tractors and play areas are also on offer to help foster children’s imagination and provide a place for them to let off some steam.

With over fifty breeds across seven species, Cotswold Farm Park’s Rare Breeds Trail is a must for animal enthusiasts who will be able to spot an array of animals such as Golden Guernsey goats and Highland Cattle. The trail is brimming with animal interactions and fascinating facts about the importance of conservation.

With plenty of farmyard fun on offer, Cotswold Farm Park promises an enriching and entertaining day out for each member of the family over the February half term.
