Nominate a location to receive a public access defibrillator and external cabinet in Heart Month

Cheltenham

To the citizens of Cheltenham - we need your help and suggestions to nominate a location to receive a public access defibrillator and external cabinet in Heart Month!

Cheltenham's not for profit community defib campaign, Public Hearts defib is looking to increase the town's coverage up to the magical No 75

We are currently at No 72 and to celebrate February - Heart Month - Public Hearts is keen to continue our community and residential community work to give everybody access to these life-saving and life-changing devices.

So here it is. A gift to a local community organisation, charity, or organisation located in a high density residential area in Cheltenham where there is currently no publicly accessible defibrillator. (no listed buildings please) This location must be able to be an active Guardian to check the defib regularly - full training (which takes 10 minutes!) will be given.

All nominations are welcome and we are committed to supporting areas where there's a great need and existing coverage is low. So many community organisations don't have the money to be able to invest in these vital pieces of equipment. This is your opportunity to nominate a suitable public location in a residential area with 24/7 public access - right in the heart of your neighbourhood. Pubs are usually great locations - and convenience stores, social housing - somewhere that's easily accessible and close to people.

So we're going to step forwards and offer a donated defib and cabinet as part of our commitment to our community work to give someone the best chance on their worst day.

Defibs really do save lives and we are excited to hear from you!
Please email us or call 01242 371 999.
